Two and a half weeks out from our tournament, our team experienced an interesting setback. Our competition robot for this year, "Opey," took a swim, along with the vast majority of our other equiptment, materials, and robots. The room that we occupy at our high school flooded because some of the copper pipes in the air handeler in the celing burst. The water was running at the time, so hundreds of gallons of water were spilled over our robots, supplies, materials, and equiptment. The water also caused about half of the ceiling tiles in the room to collapse. Our robots got very wet, but thankfully they appear to be mostly undamaged. The collapsing ceiling missed Opey, but did manage to hit Johnny 5, one of our retired robots. Borg (our 2014-15 competition robot) was lucky enough to stay dry, and our test bot, Minion, was at one of our team member's homes at the time of the flood, so he was uneffected. We have cleaned up our room and robots, and we are still planning on attending our qualifying match in Madison on January 23.
